Chelsea transfer news: Sky Sports man reveals £90million double deal update
======================================
New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has eyed up a move for Gonzalo Higuain, who has scored 55 goals for Juventus across the past two seasons. And they are keen on his centre-back team-mate Daniele Rugani too, who is valued at just over £40m by Juve. Solhekol says he is “expecting Chelsea to be busy” with Rugani more likely to be the first arrival. The signing of Higuain, meanwhile, would be dependent on Alvaro Morata being sold to free up a place in the Chelsea squad.Sarri managed Higuain at Napoli in the 2015/16 season “They are getting closer and closer to Daniele Rugani. Juventus are asking for around £40m for the central defender,” Solhekol said. “Chelsea see him as a long-term replacement for Gary Cahill and David Luiz. “Gonzalo Higuain is one of their top targets but Juventus want £50million – even though he’s 30. “New Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri knows Higuain well from his time in Italy. “Juventus are willing to sell Higuain after signing Cristiano Ronaldo. “Chelsea will only move for Higuain if they sell Alvaro Morata. He wants to return to Italy, AC Milan are interested but they don’t want to pay anywhere near Chelsea’s £58m asking price. “We could have the situation where English clubs sell their players after August 9 because of course Italian clubs can buy from England until August 25.” Rugani’s agent David Torchia this week admitted Chelsea were in talks for his client. He said: “Chelsea like Rugani and have made an important offer. Juve are aware of the interest but for now they don’t want to sell. “But we know everything has a price. “Rugani is a defender that would make Chelsea’s manager happy.”
